Freedom to Play – A player centred approach to coaching

In other words: don’t dwell on your mistakes, but learn from them, get on with it and keep improving.

MISSION STATEMENT

Freedom to Play is not a brand, it is a movement, giving back the game to where it belongs, the kids/players. It combines competitive courage with player agency and JOY. Freedom to Play is inspired by street soccer, promoting hard work, team spirit, solution seeking by all players combining the desire and BRAVERY to learn new things through continuous mistakes & failures and persistent pursuit of new challenges.

A great example of autonomy and self-regulation, one of the pillars of intrinsic motivation., the motivation from within.
